Shell Jewelry holder

If you like Big clam shells and Atlantic cockle shells I have found a way to use them! I made a jewelry holder! We all know someone that takes their rings off by the sink and has lost them. I am guilty of this on an epic scale. I love to garden and dig in the dirt looking for rocks, so I am always having to take my rings off.

I was going through shells to photograph and it hit me, ring holder. You could put it in a bathroom, kitchen, or even on a desk to hold paperclips. The possibilities are endless.!

Materials:

Large shell ex: clam shell, cockle shell, etc…

craft glue

small clay pot

hemp or any kind of string

shells or beads that you like and want to use as decoration around the bottom of the clay pot.

Instructions:

I glued the hemp to the bottom of the clay pot first. Then added the shells to the bottom of the pot. I also put a clear coat over the shell to help protect it and preserve the shine. Once the shell was dry and the pot was dry….(about 3-4 hours) I glued the cockle shell to the top of the clay pot and let it dry for 24 hours, before adding the quirky broken pearl charm bracelet.

If you have any questions about this project or another way of doing it I would love to know!

If you are interested in making your own I have the cockle shells to get the job done in my shop. As a bonus… this holder is included.

Why I write

I’ve always had a knack for writing. It’s a great way for me to get my thoughts out and reflect. I always thought one day I would be a great writer. I wanted to travel the world, taking pictures, learning, having adventures, and telling stories that inspire others to grow.

Then life happened, as it does, and my vision of how my life was going to go got derailed. I know it had to happen in order to grow my experiences. So that through the trials I could possibly help somebody else that struggles the same way that I do and did for many years.

I have always wanted to help people. I hope that through my blog I can give inspiration to others. I want to show people that no matter what you’ve been through, you can always make a choice to turn it around. You can do anything you set your mind to. All you have to do is believe you can, and you will.

I’m naturally imperfect and I’m ok with that!

Trek Lightly, 💚🤙
